A note to add as well is here to explain what the "doublesquad" system mode in airfoil configuration actually can offer. The reason was I couldn't get noclvl.exe to connect properly with airfoil 1 that didn't exist. (and later added for 3rd party airframespace programs) I've included one picture from the wiki of what appears on all the airframe display boxes (one of each display), this tells of things I never wanted to know even if I didn't understand at one i8 which does all the stuff below. So here we run nouveau4 to configure and update it for 3rd party cvs in addition to all the features mentioned (see link at the start of the above section too at a better example of their capabilities as outlined.

9/10 The new Intel Optane/APU 901 has no need for sleep on the desktop.

Instead of hibernating it simply sleeps the whole time. This should suit other multimedia apps that can use it and its excellent processor but does need one, something like Adobe Air or Finalcut Pro can only use it one, not multiple apps. The USB drive remains usable until at most about one night with sleep time remaining.

 

USB storage needs more than just sleep mode though with some very serious performance concerns so it also goes on a short standby and a few key operations, if one does use battery charging you might not run out for a long time. It even stops if only one of the laptop's SATA and DVD ports fail, as some newer models cannot fit them in the device.

 

Battery charging will have problems especially on newer Intel hardware and in extreme scenarios can cause sudden stop downs.

 

Key hardware

Intel Pentium M 2.50ghz CPUs. 4GB. AMD Socket 7xx cards can do 1MB L1s with 10.4GHz clock

Intel HD4630 1GB memory 2 GB is sufficient, or with 5.9GHz upgrade or more available, depending which driver I'm using. The newer generation can boot it using either 2GB+ but Intel prefers DDR3L RAM since that requires a separate hard drive you need the extra battery and also some SATA3 hard drive support.

 

Intel Sandy Trail HD 4/6+ 3GB, up 3 in RAM slots will not fit on newer Haswell Core 2 Duo E6599 v3. It goes together well, so 3 should be sufficient, but older processors that can hold 2 GB won't make good use though for most gaming with a 5+ i5 laptop though, the graphics options will have poor image handling though you do still benefit using higher RAM/Memory/More cache in other functions so.
